Epkey and Phillips Lose in Third Round at the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Pre-Qualifying Tennis Championships

TULSA, Okla. -- Joe Epkey (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) along with teammate Aaron Phillips (Effingham, Ill./Saint Anthony) of the Ball State University men's tennis team were eliminated today (Oct.1) after losing their third round singles match at the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Pre-Qualifying Tennis Championships.

Phillips fell to David North of Georgia Tech, 6-3, 6-2 while Epkey took a 6-3 (5-7), 6-4 loss to Amrit Narasimhan of Memphis. The duo of Epkey and Phillips will begin preparing for doubles action at the championship, which begins on Tuesday (Oct. 3).
