
Track and Field Finishes as a Top Team at Pacesetter Sports Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Ball State track and field traveled to Terre Haute on Saturday (Mar. 29) for Indiana State's Pacesetter Sports Invitational.
In a field of 10, the Cardinals finished second as team, collecting 108.5 points.
The Cardinals had multiple top finishers, closing the meet with four event wins and four other top three placements. Among Ball State's leaders was Kenli Nettles who finished third in the long jump with an impressive personal best mark of 5.91 meters. Ball State jumpers continued to impress in both the triple and high jump. Brenna Lehrke finished second in the triple jump, hitting 11.61 meters and Malina Miller won the high jump after hitting a season best mark at 1.72 meters.
Opening action on the track, the 4x100-meter relay team of Moriah Johnson, Alana Springer, Jenna Oriani and Kylee Marshall secured a first-place finish after crossing the line in a time of 45.58.
Springer went on to take first in the 200-meter dash as well (23.80), along with third in the 100-meter after running a new best time of 11.66. Oriani finished right behind her in the 200, coming across at 24.29.
For another Ball State win, Emma Potter ran away with the victory in the 400-meter dash after finishing with a new personal best of 54.91.
The Cardinals' next meet is scheduled for Friday, April 4 in Athens, Ohio for Ohio University's Cherry Blossom Invitational.
