March 03, 2026 | Men's Tennis
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ball State University senior Jacks Lancaster and junior Drew Hayward have been named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
The veteran duo earned the honor following a standout performance during the Cardinals' annual spring break trip to California.
Lancaster and Hayward provided the deciding spark in doubles play against the University of the Pacific. With the doubles point tied at 1-1, the pair secured a gritty 7-5 victory over Jonty Giesen and Terence Das at the No. 1 position to clinch the opening point for Ball State.
The tandem helped anchor a complete double sweep against Villanova to close out the training camp. Their leadership at the top of the lineup set the tone for a convincing 6-1 team victory.
This marks the first weekly conference honor of the season for the pair, who have consistently competed at the top of the Cardinals' lineup throughout the non-conference slate.
The Cardinals (5-5) now turn their attention to conference play as they head to the University of Toledo on Friday, March 6, followed by a road match at the University at Buffalo on Sunday.
